Services provided by our Academic Department
The Academic Sales and Marketing Department at the African Branch of Cambridge University Press serves the needs of lecturers, researchers, professionals and university students in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The African Branch of Cambridge University Press invites full-time lecturers from recognised universities situated in sub-Saharan Africa to request free inspection copies of our designated textbook titles, provided they are to be considered for courses on which they could become set texts. The free inspection copy service applies to titles priced below 50 GBP. Titles exceeding this price need to be paid for.
• All inspection copy requests are subject to approval by the Academic Sales and Marketing department of Cambridge University Press
• Inspection copies will not be dispatched to private addresses
• Hardbacks will not be sent if there is a paperback available
• Inspection copy requests are closely monitored and no more than five titles will be sent to an individual in any calendar year.
We are happy to negotiate the price of prescribed academic titles published by Cambridge University Press. We will need to obtain all relevant details of the adoption (student numbers, course details, and the course commencement date), and we will negotiate a special price for the book.
